George Lavenia began his quest for self-knowledge in the mid-sixties. His travels took him to India, Katmandu, the Galapagos Islands, the ancient ruins of the Mayan civilization, the Amazon River, and then to Africa. Inquiring into various spiritual paths, he chose a path of self-inquiry, terminated his career as vice-president of a prominent bank in New York, and created The Earth foundation, an educational organization dedicated to mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.
